hey so i just got a silkie hen and rooster they just laid an egg today and i dont know if it fertile they have been together for two days I Candled it but their was nothing that i could see am I supposed to wait i put the egg back but they have no interest in it so what do u suggest i do

She will only set eggs if she’s broody. They may or may not be fertile. You can crack the first egg to check for a bullseye.

Candling will not show fertilization until they have been incubated for several days.

I would just keep taking the eggs out of the nest until she’s ready to set.
