Eggs

    my hens have started to lay for the first time, how long does it take for them to lay full size eggs.i have silver laced wyandottes

    Depends. There is NO hard answer. Like most things about living things.

    Some individuals will start laying a larger egg quickly, while some can take a few months, while a few, never seem to lay a large egg, ever.

    for my wyandotte it took about two and a half weeks to come to maximum production. I'm sure it varies between hens though.
