eggs

I have never refrigerated mine. They were set on the counter. If the eggs sat out for more than a week or so, I would do the float test before we ate them. It's a great way of telling if they were good or bad.

Happy New Year Everyone. We are building a chicken coop and we are not sure how to secure it to the ground so a bad wind don't up and move it. any ideas???

So glad to have you join us! I suspect you'll have better luck if you start a thread of your own - rather than clicking "reply" simply use the box marked "Start a new Thread" and that way your post wont be lost here at the bottom of someone else's introduction where many members may not see it. I would also post it in this section here https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/9/coop-run-design-construction-maintenance so that you can get the most direct feedback for the question you have.
When you start your thread, include some basic details about the coop you are constructing, the area you are building in, etc so that we can have a better idea of what you are working with and what ideas may be most helpful to you in securing your coop.
Look forward to hearing more about your coop and your adventures in chicken keeping!!
