These are my failed to hatch eggtopsies. I left them in the Bator for 2 full days after the last chick hatched, until the smell from the incubator started to get overpowering. I proceeded to candle, sniff, and float test them. There was no motion on candling, no sounds, and no motion on the float test. I proceeded to do eggtopsies and it seems to me they all stopped between 20-21 days. Only one internally pipped with no external pips. They look malpositioned to me.

Of note, several in the hatch pipped on the underside of the egg (floor of incubator) almost in the middle of the shell. That seems abnormal to me. But they survived and are doing fine....

It does look like they quit at the same time. One still has yolk.

I would use the cool down method next hatch to see if they develop better:

If the others did not hatch on time, It might help to check on temps to make sure they are correct.
