I did an eggtopsy on 6 eggs and there are 4 that I’d like some opinions on. Can anyone tell when and/or why these chicks died?
*We used a Little Giant incubator with an auto egg turner. I believe it’s the 11300 Deluxe.
We had some issue the morning of day 19. There was a concern for too much humidity and I didn’t want to leave for work with 80% humidity. I took the eggs out to replace a soaked paper towel and replaced it quickly.
The one other issue we had was that thermometer started giving inaccurate readings at that point. I wasn’t aware of it at the time but it stayed around 95.5 even tho I increased the setting by 2 degrees. I’m not sure why the thermometer failed but when I propped it up rather than laying it down there was almost a 7 degree increase.
I appreciate the help of anyone more experienced!
