Eggtopsy: What happened to my egg? {Graphic Pictures}

I have noticed spots appear that weren't there when the eggs were at room temp, I chalked up to just because of the higher temp and humidity. I'd say just keep an eye on it and hope for the best! Yours looks a little different, but I can't think of another cause this early.

Good luck for a great hatch.

I'm doing an incubator experiment and have some photos of a quitter that might be useful... To someone? Day 7 candle, very clear blood ring and views of the chick. I'm candling daily for this experiment so I know this chick was alive yesterday. Vaulting may have been a factor.

It is an in line thermostat. The temp fluctuates 98-104 but the thermometer is really sensitive and the eggs actually feel a little cooler than when I get them out from under a hen. I'm guessing that the high and low don't last long enough for the eggs to lose or acquire too much heat. I'm keeping a water bottle nearby to mist the towel with a couple times/day. I may add a damp rag between the lowest and middle layers of the top towel at hatch but I'm not sure that will work. They would tend to be cold on top and warm on the bottom that way. I may need to completely switch things around come hatch time.
Ideas are always welcome :). It is an experiment though so I'm prepared for the possibility they may not, any of them, make it. ( aside from some faulty genetics on the part of the dominant roo. He's got really prominent cranial vaulting in his line. He's one of only three chicks hatched out of 10 eggs, and that under a broody! I couldn't get any, out of 14, to hatch in an incubator.)

Have an egg :)

Not sure what to call it but the membrane of the yolk? Got entangled with the chick and wrapped around its neck. I lost my entire batch of minorcas and all of them had "green" yolks which I learned were the organs?

I was unable to grasp a photo of when I unwrapped the chick, but there was an indent on where the cord was, hinting that it was likely that way through most of the incubation.

This chick, although I'm not sure if it affected its hatch, it's toes were curled weirdly on this foot.

I am getting duck eggs that pip and then drown due to an excess of fluid. I saved and hatched two due to putting in a peek hole and draining the excess fluid. I had to watch those eggs carefully and hatch them myself after the membranes stopped having veins.

So too much humidity?

What was the humidity the first 20 some days and what was it the last 3 days? How old were the eggs when you put them in the incubator? Did the eggs hatch on time, early or late?
