Eglu weekend advice

We got month old (+) chicks in April and got the Eglu with the run.
We have had them outside overnight about 2 weeks. The automatic door will not arrive for a few more weeks, (which is very frustrating and weren't told that til after our order was made in March)


Last week when we went away we just brought them back inside to the brood pen (8ft kiddie pool with chicken wire heightened walls) for the 2 nights.

We are going away again this coming weekend. Just bring them inside again?

I'd be concerned about leaving them outside unprotected.

If you have any predators there, they will not be safe with chicken wire only. Even eglus would be carried off by the bears and coyotes here.

I would recommend that they are definitely btought inside until more permanent and predator deterrent accommodations can be made.
