We have twelve four-week-old chicks of different standard-sized breeds, two of which are Egyptian Fayoumis (we also have two Phoenix, which are also on the slightly smaller side like the Fayoumis).
My question: are your Fayoumis super skittish? The ten other chicks are friendly (the two Phoenix, two Amercaunas and two Black Stars extremely so) and they all mix with each other. The Fayoumis are a different story. They stick together and don't really like to hang out with the others. They also scream like crazy if I go anywhere with them lol. One of them is also still very tiny, although she's (if it's a she) eats fine and no one picks on her (the others did pick on four Polish that needed to be rehomed).
Should I be worried or is this just normal Fayoumi behavior? They are really beautiful birds, btw, and still have their red heads.
Thanks for any help you can give!
