Egyptian Fayoumis Thread!

Pics
Mine will be with some Brahmas, so I've got the influence of docile birds covered It's not cold for long in OR, at least not currently, who knows what the climate will be in 5 years. Thanks!
There’s no such thing as global warming. There are weather cycles that are much longer than several generations of humans live.
I read this entire thread, looking at getting a dozen or so of these to free rangeon the ranch. Pretty interesting birds! There was a guy on YouTube that crossed a Fayoumi roo with a Rhode Island Red hen and called them Red Pharaohs. I am trying to find the best source for this breed and combing the net.

Take the stupidity somewhere else.

The best source is a matter of opinion based on experience with particular hatcheries and how the birds perform for each individual keeper. I’ve purchased mine from California Hatchery simply because they are the closest source so the chicks will have the least amount of travel time by mail.

I was on Murray Mc Murray's site yesterday and went into sticker shock. :thThe price of the pullet chicks has really went up from two years ago. I can't remember what I paid for mine but I think it was somewhere around 4$ and some change per pullet chick but don't quote me on that. I know it wasn't 6+ dollars per bird tho.

My plan is to see to it that my Fayoumi rooster Tut is the only boy who has the size and access to breed the girls and then hatch some eggs from them.
