Egyptian Geese? (pic)

I am soon to be having a pair of these after alot of google searches and calling around for information. From what I understand..

More Duck like than goose (Almost Muscovy like not in teperment though)
Will Kill other birds (My friend had her male kill a female Sebastapol)
Can be nasty to people when in breeding mode
Not a good first goose and shouldnt be kept with ANY other birds...

Anyone tell me if Im wrong. I have had geese on and off for about 5 years. This is new to me.. lol

We raise Egyptian Geese. Ours are friendly except during breeding season. If you are just getting one pair, you should be fine as long as you keep the pair separate from other birds. They do fly and good at that. I will let one out at a time to fly around (I do not recommend) and it will come back because the others are calling. They are the size of a larger breed of duck. The males make almost a high pitched whistling sound and the females are a lot louder deeper voiced. When they get aggressive they will kill from my experience. They will turn on each other. We keep the pairs separate during breeding season. They are very beautiful birds.

Here is a photo of some of mine:

I leave all of them together in one huge pen when it is not breeding season (if everybody is getting along). I do leave individual pairs together all of breeding season and they do fine. I don't have to separate each individual bird. Hope that answers your question?

They are gorgeous! If you have a plave to seclude them during breeding season, I say you should do it. But I've been told I am a bad influence before, so take that to mind. lol

They are all over The Netherlands and the farmers there consider them a nuisance so are happy to have a licensed "gamekeeper" who will decimate numbers. My breeder had six farms he hunted on with my dog's dam and other weimaraners he trained and hunted with. I accompanied him and my dog's dam when I went to pick up my puppy. A full sized bird is about the weight and size of my Embden and Toulouse girls -a good sized goose, not duck sized;)
(Oops, wrong pic)

Forgot to say that I do think these are a beautiful bird, and finally found the right pic:

(I don't mean to offend anyone, I love all animals but was raised that in order to eat/live/survive, we had to hunt for food. I don't have a problem w/my hunting dogs bothering my birds nor have predators bothered my birds because of my hunting dogs and geese who sound the alarm to tell the dogs and I when its time to pay attention;)
