Best to stick with one thread. You have about 4 threads about the same chicken. Not sure where you are located, but many of us are asleep when you were starting new threads.

Is she hanging out inside a nest box most of her time? How old is she? Does she normally lay eggs? When hens separate themselves and are sleeping a lot, they are usually feeling sick.

How does her crop feel in her upper right chest—empty and flat, full, puffy, doughy, or hard? Has she lost weight when younpick her up? Look her over for lice and mites crawling on her under her lower belly. Also look for swelling in the lower abdomen between the legs. Will she eat or drink? If you have some Poultry NutriDrench or electrolytes that you can give her.

Hard to know exactly what is wrong, but reproductive disorders are common, and crop impactions or sour crop are common. You can insert a clean finger into her vent an inch or two to check for a stuck egg.

She’s never in the nest box anymore . She does come out with the other chickens but just finds somewhere quiet to sit or stand . I fed her some layer pellets mashed up with water and she enjoyed those but otherwise she won’t eat or drink .

Can you check her crop first thing in the morning before she has eaten, and tell us how it feels? It should be empty and not felt in morning. It sounds more like a reproductive disorder. My hens who have acted like that will usually eat some scrambled egg, but chicken feed with water is best for most of her diet. A dose of Poultry NutriDrench for a few days might hive her a boost. Internal laying, egg yolk peritonitis, and ascites (water belly) are common in hens, and there is usually no treatment.

I felt her crop this morning and it was empty apart from a small amount of food I just saw her eat I will do again tomorow . She’s quite active but she waddles as if she’s pregnant
