OMG I would kill for your bill. My winter bills in Jan are about 450.00...for a 3 bdr house w/ electric heat! Summer is about 80.00 with one window AC.

With all the windmills going up in Eastern Oregon along the Oregon/Washington border, you people in Oregon should be getting your electricity for almost nothing.

I'm in the process of designing and building a solar water heater. Everyone living in a southern State should have one. FREE hot water year round. Even on our absolute coldest days we can still get free hot water with a properly designed system.

Last months bill was $118

Winter averages around $120 a month for electric but we also use gas heat.
Summer $170 a month

Our living area is only 1000ft and we average $225 a month.
We heat our water, cook with & cool with electricity plus our
KW rate here in CT is 19-22 cents per KW/Hour.
We heat with propane.

The new insulation that goes in as a liquid and hardens
to a foam cannot be beat. Fiberglass will be a thing of the past
very soon. It's not very effective and very bad for you.

Another low electric bill of $19 and some change! What is going on and how to make it last, I wonder? And I had used my electric base board heaters alot since I had taken out the wood stove for the year and then got a cold wave. God works in mysterious ways! That was an ACTUAL reading!

Doublepane windows will reduce your bill a lot.
We have an 1800 SQ home with heat pump, doublepaned windows and a high rating insulation (don't remember

) and our bill averages from $85 to $160 depending.
We don't have trees protecting the house yet and we keep the house comfortable so it could be a lot less. We always have a light or 2 on and lights out in the barn areas 24/7. The computers (3) are always on as well.
