We need to put a fan in our chicken coop to help keep the air moving this summer. We have electricity going to the coop anyway for the chick heating pad, and thinking we'd mount a fan on the ceiling. I'm not sure where or what to buy, so if anyone has any fan recommendations I'd appreciate it.

I'm wondering something similar myself!

Can you tell us more about your coop/design? Pics?
I have converted a full sized shed into a menagerie lol. I've got plenty of"options" I think.

I just bought a tractor supply coop and got it put together, then added some 2x4 boards on the bottom to add stability and deeper bedding. Although most people told me not to buy a prefab, its worked great and is super sturdy/strong.

It was meant for 8-9 chickens and I only have 3, and will probably add a little run on to later on. Just FYI I am totally hobby/pet chicken person not a real farm lol.

well I’ve decided on small ceiling mount fan, but I’m also going to try radiant barrier on ceiling and do a before and after to measure heat. It seems a cheap enough thing to test and see if it makes a difference :)

I would not put a fan in a tiny coop.

Link to fan...and you want to put it on the ceiling?

Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, (laptop version shown), then it's always there!
