Electric fence

Yes.

The predators in my area:
coyote
raccoon
fox
stupid neighbor dogs
black bear
fisher cats
bob cats

I run a 10,000 volt/1.2 Joule output charger to three 164' nets jumpered together and use two 8' Cu ground rods to ground the system.

@DobieLover helped me when we had a fisher attack. We bought the electric fence as suggested and (knock on wood) have not had issues since. A neighbors Bengal cat came and was trying to get the girls. Turned the fence on and it got a nice little zap and has not been seen around the fence again! Highly recommend.

I have a similar set-up to @DobieLover but a bit smaller - I have 2x 164' nets linked together.
My biggest issue is that I am on a hill and the step-in posts tend to tilt over time - I am working on some more solid posts for the corners which it looks like @DobieLover has.
I have had a few chickens fly over the fence but they seem to know how to fly back.

Have any of you had issues with aerial predators?
I have been lucky so far.
I have planted some shrubs and also have a lot of junk in their yard for cover.
It is certainly not foolproof but my ladies seem to be smart about listening to the warnings of other birds and staying under cover in the shrubbery.

Thanks! It’s under trees, maybe I’ll chance it? I trust my Cream Legbars not to be caught (SO alert!) but the others just wouldn’t be quick enough. I lost 2 before I covered their run.
