**Electric skillet method-*Open for further questions-starting page 26

One question before I turn in for the night. Shouldn't the chicks be filling the eggs (except for the air sac)when I candle in the morn? I have a feeling I've lost them and that is why I posted the pics on day 16 asking if things were on track. Can someone please tell me?

Thanks newbiecaroline! I will candle them again before I put them into the egg cartons later this morning and then post again.

Well, we moved them into the egg carton. While candling we only saw one move. I'm hoping some of the rest were just sleeping but, after looking at the pics newbiecaroline posted I'm not holding out much hope for some of them. There is 10 left in there. We will see what happens. I won't be giving up though! I'm collecting eggs to start another batch. I found another skillet in a garage sale for 50 cents and I'm going to set it up today to start the next batch!

I think I see movement but I blame the visual on needing glasses for close up and not having a good candler lol.
I only just saw a vein for the first time and it wraps all around the egg...like a vine from jumanji movie lol.
I would bet your going to do great Kitty....and good for you starting the next hatch!
(If I could find turkey eggs up here that's what I would like to hatch next.)
My panbator is far superior to the old incubator I'm using...still holding steady every day.
Can't wait for Friday Kitty to hear your good news!!

Those darn thermometer/hygometers are going to drive me crazy!!!! The one I have been using said that the humidity hadn't gone up so I quick did a change and nothing! Stuck in a different one and the humidity is up to 73%. I checked both of them with the salt and water mix and noted how much they were off by and still they won't behave!

When I candled mine before getting them ready for hatching I didn't see ANY move.

And I know at least one was alive because he just hatched!

So don't worry about not seeing anyone move....not one of my 25 eggs showed any evidence of movement.
