ELECTROLYTES how much?

My avian vet also suggests just using Gatorade cut with an equal amount of water when it's really hot - - also uses for birds in shock, injured, etc.

Aghhhhh, I was told by the Feed store where I purchased my chicks (19 days old now) that I should use the electrolytes for chicks. As they are now closed for the weekend, I can't ask them. I am still using it !!! Should I discontinue using it? I have not had problems with them so far.

If my understanding is correct theen I think you are only supposed to use in times of stress - not you - the chickens -haha.
My packet says to use for not longer than 5 days at a time.

darn, the newbie mommy I am, never thought to ask the question when I got the package. Mine does not say to only give for 5 days.

Well, I weaned them off of it and have them on plain water. Sure hope that it was not harmful that they had it for a little over 2 wks.
