Electrolytes

I need recommendations for hen electrolytes. Plz name your recommendations’ brand name and title. Also, my hens were daily eating wild bird feed for several weeks in July. It would drop on the ground as wild bird ate and my hens crowded around to eat it. I noticed unfortunately that my hens hardly ate any of their chicken food. I’m sure this effected their egg laying. I switched the wild bird feeders to a different location a week ago, so that my hens can’t eat any wild bird seeds. How long will it take them to increase their egg laying back to normal? Can you think of anything else to stimulate egg laying? Thx!!

Electrolytes...I like to use a honey and garlic recipe. Its called "Magic Water" on youtube.

My girls like Hydro Hen from Manna Pro, it has electrolytes, probiotics & acidifiers that are good for gut health. It dissolves super easy & smells like vanilla.

Bird seed mixes vary, but it's basically very similar to chicken scratch; they should return to regular egg-laying fairly quickly, but remember that the heat takes a toll on them, too, if it's hot right now where you are. Protein, calcium, cool water - eliminate other treats until laying returns to normal.

Watch the amount of salts in electrolytes choose one with low salts some have a lot and is not good for poultry. So you have to watch how much salt is in what you use and how often you use it.

If you offer electrolytes in their water, be sure they have a source of plain water too.

I make an electrolyte mix at home - this isn't to stimulate laying, but for short term stress treatment for heat, injury, moving, etc.

For 1 gal water:
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
