electronic rat zapper test!

That would make sense, get rechargeables. My fiance and I have a 500,000 volt stun gun that we use on kinky Fridays. We only get about 8 good zaps before it's ineffective.

That sounds cool but to what extent does it work?

Is that the rat-zapper or the stun-gun

Back to the rat zapper...
If you can find the specs for the zapper you *might* (and I stress might because this is probably really dangerous) be able to run it off the mains. There are lots of different spec mobile phone chargers and other transformers available. You might be able to find one the can provide the required voltage/amps and then you wouldn't need to worry about batteries.
Another alternative (depending on the specs) would be wire it up to a car or motorbike battery and have that recharge with a solar recharger or a mains trickle recharger.

Glad to hear it's working, I'm sure the world needs rats for some purpose, but why don't they just go do that instead of hanging round chicken coops all day.

we had pest control around today, due to another family of rats next door! he was pleased to see me using the rat zapper so poison wasn't needed in my garden. Kill count so far; 2 rats and 4 mice! I am using rechargeable now to keep the cost of batteries down.

as for the stun gun on those Friday nights! sounds painful

but I guess that may be the point
