Chickens have long been viewed as emotionless and unable to feel pain. Chickens have been viewed like that since the beginning of the existence of chickens, but that stereotype increased because chicken meat is so commonly loved by humans and so available that people began to believe that chickens were widely factory-farmed because they do not have emotions and cannot feel pain-both of these things being obviously false. Humans make up whatever they want to and spread it around no matter if there is anything to back it up or not. Especially when they feel the need to defend themself, because the majority of people will think chickens are emotionless and do not feel pain because they are uneducated and they do not want to feel guilty about eating them. Chickens sure do look emotionless if you are not a chicken-lover, with their stare that often seems like they have no thoughts in that head. But it is easy to see the intelligence, emotions and unique personality if you care. Why are chickens, especially roosters treated so expendable?
