I agree with this. We should have respect for animals, ALL animals. We should have respect for ALL life on earth. People and animals. These days people lack respect of all kinds, even for life, human life included. Now, I understand not being able to keep all of our roosters. It's impossible, and sometimes cruel to the hens in the flock. We should always try to rehome, and if that's not possible, we have to cull. But put the body to good use. Eat the meat, or donate. If possible, use the feathers for something, or find some one who will. There are many uses for bird feathers. Using the body of a dead animal is showing respect to not only the animal that has died, but also showing respect for life in general. Respect is one of the most important attributes that people should have. We should find enjoyment out of watching and spending time with animals, not killing them or being cruel to them. In my thoughts, not trying to bring different beliefs in here, but God created animals for a reason, for us to enjoy. We shouldn't be at all cruel to them.I’m not wanting an argument I’m genuinely trying to understand. Why are chickens, especially roosters treated so expendable? (Not talking about broilers). I’ve seen and read so many ppl culling their chickens/unwanted roosters and throwing out the body with the garbage. Unwanted rooster, kill it, burn it or bury it. And just recently I read about a person who killed his roosters and used the body for bait. Can someone explain to me why this is acceptable? If it was a cat or dog it’d be cruelty to animals and illegal.
As to you last question, all animals are equal. Cats, dogs, chickens... doesn't matter. They are still peoples pets and it bothers chicken people like most of us here in this community to hear about when you or other people are cruel to them. If you do something cruel to a chicken or other animal - don't share it on here. If you are cruel to chickens or other animals, may I suggest really taking a look at yourself.
No offense meant in this post
