Well to me it is if he’s a nice boy. It’s a waste of his life.

I do pretty much feel the same, only with exception of my creatures specifically raised for such. This guy was not intended for it.

So...the Jerkface is in my oven.

Beyond him...still have 4 boys to 5 hens.
(2 large boys, 2 smaller boys, mixed hens)

I feel like several more need to go.
There's one big guy that, if butchered, my kids would just LOSE IT. So, he's pardoned. Leaves one big, 2 small.

What does one do?!

First, one decides is it worth the anguish to keep a mean jerk versus the aggravation it causes the rest of the flock. We demand peace in our house after being given a fair chance to acclimate oneself to the family. We just "lost" a kitten because he wouldn't make curfew - started hanging out after hours in the neighborhood with a rowdy crowd. He wouldn't attend family functions anymore, etc. I would say to the next Jerkface Drake, "you are being given a choice: either slow-smoked or pan-roasted, either way, the heat is on." Case closed.

Oops, guess he chose the heated section anyway. My condolences to you for having to put him down. However, I do hope he tasted as good as the aggravation he caused.
