Emaciated chicken

So far so good!! I THINK she feels a little heavier. This week I started giving her 1ml of nutridrench every morning.

This is what her poo looks like. When I first noticed the problem it was mostly clear, with only a few solid lumps-so I would say this is an improvement??

And here's my beautiful girl, still growing in her new feathers

She is so beautiful! I am so happy that she is getting such good care! From the looks of her droppings, there is a DEFINITE improvement. I've been down that road before - so glad that she is doing well! Her feathers are growing back nicely!

She definitely has improved. I'm so glad. please keep us posted. I'm shore she is on the road to a full recovery.

I left town for 2 weeks and was worried about my girl, but she was fine and even had a full crop when I got home :celebrate

It's raining today and freezing (we live in CA so by freezing I mean low 60s) so she's cuddled up in my lap as I type this-keeping each other warm (it would prob help if I upgraded my shorts and tank to pants and sleeves...but that would require a trip to the back of the closet)

Anyways, she's def put on weight, her keel is much less prominent, she sits like a normal chicken now...I think she's still on the light side so I'm going to continue the nutri-drench and personal breakfast.
One new thing I'm watching is her face was quite pale when I returned...she's always been a really bright red...she is just finishing up her molt, so I'm thinking that might be it. Any thoughts on that?? Thanks for all the help!!

The lap picture isn't a great display of her color- she always gets really pale sitting in my lap. But you can see she isn't very bright in the walking pics

One of me hens has been inside since last year when she was very sick. She is a very tiny bantam and weighs a bit over a pound. Her face fluctuates from pale to dark red but I believe that her skin remains a darker red in the summer when the temperature is warmer. Even inside I notice a fluctuation. The deep coloring be due to body temperature and blood flow to the area..

It could be because of the molt. Combs are generally very red when they first start up to lay again and are a little less red late in the laying season and during molt. Now if it gets very pale, and stays that way, it may be worms or cocci. That's what I would be wondering.
