Email vs. PM

"Form mail" allows members to contact you through the forum to your email address without exposing your email address to the user. Obviously if you get a form email from someone and then reply to them via email they will see your email address.

PM is good if you want to keep your correspondence private and independent of your personal email.

I get it now, sorry --- If someone has selected '-Display your e-mail address.', I don't use the 'form' but instead copy the email address to MY email program and send from there. Then it is saved as a sent message.

If you want a copy of the email you sent, you can copy the email address to your personal email program and send it from there. That is the only way to get a copy of a email sent to a BYC member. If their email address is NOT displayed, you don't get a saved copy of your email to them.
