Embden Goose EGGS

I would ship them in the large flat-rate Priority Mail box, whatever that costs now, around $15 or so? I can easily fit 2 or 3 in there with lots of good cushioning. I'm still waiting for them to LAY. They're acting amorous and we keep looking in their pen and in all their usual nesting places, but haven't found any eggs yet. It should be SOON. I'll let you know when.

I am interested in half a dozen fertile Embden goose eggs within the next couple of weeks. I am familar with Embdens as I had a pair of Holderreads, but the goose died last year and we replaced her with a less quality goose. I have eggs from her, but all candle clear at day 13, so I don't know what the problem may be. Now I have a Holderread gander and a sub-quality (but very friendly and nice) goose.

I would be interested it seeing a picture or two of you goose and gander, do they both have double lobes, blue eyes, pure white feathers and orange bill and legs? Sorry to be so demanding on their looks, but looking for eggs from good Embdens (so I'll be happy, lol). Holderread stock would be a plus.

I live in central Florida and hope to hear from someone.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob, I'll tell the gaggle to get busy! We still haven't seen any eggs yet, still expecting to see those big dinosaur nests any day now. I have 2 ganders & 4 girl geese, so let's see what they can do for you. Maybe not 6 at once, maybe 3 at a time?

The goose in my avatar photo is Gertrude, my original goose girl. I will *try* to get some photos to send to you, I'm not real skilled in sending pictures online, I'll get my son to help me.

We're in western West Palm Beach, how far away are you?

Things are looking & sounding more hopeful each day. They've been mating frequently in their swimming pools -- you always know it's happened even if you don't see it because the ganders make this loud boastful honking after each transaction, it's a unique call they only make at these times. And today some of the girl geese were trying out different nesting sites for suitability. So I'm anticipating EGGS to come out soon!

We found some nests and I have 4 eggs ready to ship! There may be 2 more out there today, I haven't checked. Let me know if you're interested and when/where you'd like them sent.
