homemade forced air incubator and only when the fan is blowing i could maintain the temperature at 99.5-100f..but the malfunctioning of power let the fan not blow right up when power comes back and as the fan was not blowing the there was a spike in temperature at about 110f...and they all died

hate to hear this, I'm in process of building my own forced air incubator. I'm shooting for one constant fan and one cycling with heat. Sorry things didn't go well. It is amazing to see the development in just a few days. :-/

oh thats terribly sad :( i hate when this happens.
yesterday i also had a power outage and it took 1and half hours to turn back on. i was fortunate to have a broody duck who was sitting so i chucked all the eggs under her i had 1 chirping inside the egg at the time.
im wondering tho if i had left them would they have died? how long can they last without the heat? does anyone know?
