i am incubating eggs unfortunately and the bulb is under the chicken wire so cant't take it out. does anyone know what else i can do?

They are hatching with a light bulb for heat or what? Pull a bulb out of something else or point a table lamp over them. Even a 60w can get over 90F if your house is near 70F. A 100w I can get an open top brooder over 100F with the house at 68F and the ceiling fan running. I rarely use anything but standard light bulbs and occasionally have had to pull one out of my ceiling fan and light.

If you have a spare you will have to take the eggs out and replace. Your only on day 1, just keep them warm in a towel til you finish.
