emergency- ants and cold on day 20

I don't know. I haven't opened the incubator and I can't see well enough.

Is it ok to open? I don't want to mess up the humidity for the remaining two.
I'm an opener, but I also know that before I open my humidity is at least 75%. With you not having a hygrometer and not knowing the humidity, I'd be a bit more careful. Only do what you are comfortable with. If at any time you have condensation, you know you are high and you can take advantage of that and open.

If I do open, should I move it to the brooder or leave in incubator?

If there are ever hatching eggs around here again I'll have hygrometer!!!

That's a personal decision. Many people leave their chick in at least until they are dry, some until the end of the hatch. I myself pull them as soon as they are up and moving around and get them in the brooder under the brooder light.

Thanks. I'm tempted to put her in the brooder. I have an eco glow warmed and ready. Hmmmm

Maybe I'll run to tractor supply and get a hygrometer later....

Well poo. I ran to town and got a thermometer/hygrometer. Looks like a meat thermometer. Got home and the "supplied" wicks for hygrometer readings were not in box.

Put this mornings hatched chick in brooder just now and saw that one egg has external and heard that the other has internal.

If you want to give the bator chicks a little motivation, try playing this near the bator, especially when they start zipping. When you play it generally the chicks in the egg will peep back at it.

I bought the only thing they had. It said it was a thermometer/hygrometer but yes, turns out not to
Be what I needed.

I'll try playing that!! Thanks!!
