Update: It's been about a week and a half and he still can't jump right (it's looking more and more like it's a cockerel). He gets a lot of air, but can't aim right. Before the "incident" he was always up on the bars, so I know it's a result of the injury, whatever it was. Other than his inability to jump right, he's perfectly normal from what I can tell. I've started putting lower jungle gym bars in the brooder so he can learn to make little hops. We'll see if it teaches him how to jump to a roosting bar in the future.
