Emergency! Bumble foot!

Will someone call me and talk me threw the surgery please i know this is a lot to ask but im desperate

Also when its fully cleaned it looks like a scab is that still bumble foot

Maybe you could take it to a vet? They should (if they have any experience with birds) be able to rid the bird of the scab and be a way for you to buy Tricide NEO which works. At least maybe they can get you some Tricide NEO.

Honestly, it does look better. It really does. The purpose of the Epsom salt is not to heal the infection but to clean it so it doesn't get worse. Yet it does seem to have brightened a little. The chicken's foot has made an improvement. It certainly won't heal overnight and it'll take a several days. For now, I would dab the infected area with Neosporin and then cut some wrap to seal off the chicken's foot. Make sure you don't wrap it too tight. You can see what a finished wrapped foot on the 'Bumblefoot Surgery and Pics' link that I sent you. That should hold it for now. Your case is mild enough that it might heal on its own if you continue to treat with Neosporin while waiting for Tricide Neo (if you want to buy it) should tide it over.

But, if you REALLY want to be on the safe side, you could take it to a vet. But I can't promise that they'll know what they're doing Like I said, they might have TN. TN, if you don't want to do the surgery, is your best option because it heals without actually digging into the bird's foot.

Yes, it is still bumble but a very, very mild case of it. So don't get too upset. Anyway, it looks like it's only a couple days along.

I'm just trying to say that it's your choice. It's your chicken, and it's your decision. I'm just trying to fill you in as best as possible. If I were you, I would. The way the scab looks. It wouldn't be like 'cutting' into her foot. Simply use tweezers to remove the scab. If you read the Bumblefoot how to your case isn't nearly as complicated. I'm just giving you a shortened procedure in case you don't want to cut into it.

I guess 'surgery' is the wrong word. It's just a step up from a person removing the scab of an abrassion or cut. It hurts and it's a little nasty but once you treat it it gets better!

Thanks owl, i asked my dad to help, but I guess he just cant do it, so i think we will try picking at it with tweezers, and if that doesn't work probably try to find a vet that would take her, if she isn't treated for bumble foot , will she die? Or what are the effects
