Emergency! Duck adoption ended up rescue!

What hams lol and so pretty. I want a fawn and white to go with my blks and Blues and silver Runners. I had eggs for them but none hatched.

They all look great and very healthy, you have done a great job getting them that way.

Hopefully it isn't anything to worry about with your Pekin. As long as she is eating and not isolating herself from the flock laying and doing all things ducky I wouldn't worry too much. They sure have a nice place to live.

Fawn and White Runners! Yes! What a masterpiece of nature. I only have one, but she makes up for it with personality (she's a brat). For me, that color pattern of pure white with the gorgeous fawn color mixed into a distinct pattern--it really is pleasing. Sometimes when I am watching them, I just marvel at the beauty of nature in a single specimen. And they are ALL that way.

Runt is a stich and a half. She is just so cool. I hope God let's me keep her here on Earth for a long time. She is so so tiny. I open the coop in the morning and go out with my cup of coffee because she has to have my undivided attention so she can tell me all about her night.

Mama Runner what the heck are you going to do with all those eggs!??!?! My husband loves omelettes as much as the next man.... but that is absolute madness!!! :-D

I dehydrate the ones I won't use in a timely fashion and I freeze them based on recipes I use. So if it calls for 2 eggs I break them and freeze 2 in a snack bag and will write 2 on the bag and banana bread. Then 4 and cupcakes. Nothing here ever goes to waste around here. I will also freeze big bags of eggs for srambled eggs or quiche.

Oh that's a great idea. Gosh thats still a heck of a lot of eggs though!!! I swear to you if I could make my husband a 4 egg omelet everyday he would probably marry me all over again :-D he is a big egg eater.

I do make scrambled eggs every morning for for everyone.
I will also make for elderly neijbors breakfast every morning. They get meals on wheels but only lunch and not very much. So I will might make eggs one morning and pancakes. Then while my husband and son eat I will deliver breakfast and a snack to the elderly neijbors.
