This is the one I was thinking of.
While the video had a happy ending, the chicken ended up going to the vet and getting two small stitches in her vent to help the prolapse stay in. Owner did all she could to keep the chicken from laying another egg but she did lay another, 4 days later. Same thing happened. Prolapse with egg stuck outside the body. Owner put the hen down at that point. THIS IS NOT TO SAY IT WILL HAPPEN TO THE OP! I don't want to be a debby downer but I am a realist. Good luck OP and I sincerely hope your hen is okThe video has a happy ending. Hope this story does, as well. Here's my article on treating the prolapse after you get the egg out. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...ng-from-vent-prolapse-oh-my-what-to-do.76124/

I remember a thread from awhile ago where someone had this same issue and they put their hen in the bathroom with the shower going, to build up steam and help the egg come out. Thoughts on this for the OP?Give her another calcium tablet, and place her on a moist towel with a heating pad under it. Then let her rest with her sugar water within easy reach.
At this point, I'd say try anything.I remember a thread from awhile ago where someone had this same issue and they put their hen in the bathroom with the shower going, to build up steam and help the egg come out. Thoughts on this for the OP?
