emergency eye help!

our chick fell out of a mail box(our hen was sitting and it hatched out of the egg) and when we pick it up we saw it had a blood circle around its eye.we are not sure if the chick cut its eye or if the mailbox cut the chick around its eye.this happened yesterday.if anyone can help us or has any information that will help us please let us know

I don't know of anything you can do other than putting some antibiotic ophthalmic ointment in it to prevent infection. You should be able to get it at the feed store; comes in a small tube. You can also use brand name plain Neosporin ointment in eyes.
