Hi Folks,
Can anyone tell me if I can feed my chickens the Emergency food blocks that came out of our Earthquake cabinet?
The pressed semi crumbly blocks are made of wheat , Oats, Palm oil sugar, and a few other caloric items. They're free of chemicals and other crap and are sealed in vacuum bags. I ate a few bars myself and it's really bland, if not totally disgusting.
I didn't want to feed it to the girls (untested on humans.)
The only thing that gives it any taste is the sugar. I'm wondering about the sugar. I wouldn't want to contribute to my chickens getting diabetes. Anyone know if it's ok to feed it to them? I hate to throw $800 worth of Emergency food out. They love the stuff!
Thanks.
