I was in the coop and heard a ruckus and I ran out and a coyote was after a hen. They had just been out MAYBE 10 minutes! I yelled the coyote dropped the hen and ran. Now I’m left with this mess. I don’t have enough skin to sew her up. Looks like it took some skin in the attack.
Unfortunately vet is not an option. I can cull or let her try and heal. Has anyone had similar injuries and the hen heal okay? I don’t want to cull if she can be saved. I have penicillin on hand and can separate her but I tried to sew her up and there is just not enough skin left.

It can be healed, just a large flesh wound.

Just need to keep it cleaned, & moist so it heals properly. No wrapping, it needs air heal.
