EMERGENCY HELP PLEASE!!!

Sorry it took so long for me to respond, but thank you for all of your support!! We have five little chicks, and three more eggs pipping! I did help that little chick, she was shrink wrapped. I just did what chicapee suggested, and then waited until she kicked herself out. (That was around 3:30 am, I'm tired today!)

So far, we started with twelve eggs, two weren't fertile and we threw them out day 11, two hatched and were killed by our hen, five hatched in our homemade incubator, and the three left are pipping! That's pretty good in my opinion!

I am glad! You have done an incredible job! Try and get some rest, maybe someone else can be midwife for a little while. Brilliant!

I wish! I have two toddlers....no rest for me today! I'm definitely going to go to sleep early tonight, though.

Gotta go set up a brooder for them, I'm sure it won't be long and they'll all be hatched! I'm so excited you guys, I can't believe we pulled this off.

You did all the work, an we bit our nails down to the quick while we waited. Update us on the rest. Time for coffee!

Some not so great news...

One of our eggs hasn't hatched/rattled/pipped/peeped all day. I'm beginning to think the chick didn't make it, but I'm still waiting. All of the rest have hatched, so we have seven chicks! However, one has a bit of yolk that still hasn't been absorbed...acting normal so far.. and another was doing great a couple of hours ago, I took a shower and cleaned the house and now she's lying down with her eyes open, breathing shallow. When I picked her up she cheeped a little, but kept her legs curled up against her. Put her back down and, eyes open and not moving. Advice?
