Emergency Help

Mareks there’s only one thing you can do if they have it, which is to separate your healthy birds in a strict bio security area
As for the birds that already have it, I’m sorry it’s almost always fatal if that’s what it is
Can i identity healthy ones before they are paraysed

Sorry for your loss. What is your location? Mareks disease doesn’t show up in chicks who are 4 weeks old. It can affect them at 5 weeks, but normally when they are several months old. Is there any way that you can get a necropsy done on anyone that you lose? At their age coccidiosis would be very possible.

It says they have received Hatchery Vaccine at day old on the sales receipt attachement. As of mareks disease what shall ido. Sorry for my english its my second language
I think you need to contact them and find out what Hatchery Vaccine means. Which diseases does it prevent?

If it's Marek's it's not good news I'm afraid, it's incredibly contagious, but the vet would surely have picked it up so it'd be worth getting a translator to help you discuss it with your vet.

The vet says it coccidiisis, it told me to admnister amprolium with oxytetracycline. The only way to contact the hatchery is through the vet and he isn't that much helpfull that why im trying to find help every where. Remember me in your prayers 🙏🏾

Coccidiosis is treatable that’s good news, so long as they aren’t too far gone they should get better soon, wishing you the best

Im from Ethiopia (rular area) necroscopy is not possible. Can coccidiisis cause such paralysis?

So is it better to stop the amprolium now as the vet said ishould give them amprolium and oxytetracycline with high dosage

Im from Ethiopia
Welcome To BYC

I'm sorry for your losses.

Follow your Vet's advice and treat them with the Amprolium and Oxytetracycline. Re-check your dosing to make sure you are giving enough of each one.

At this age, Coccidiosis is probably the most likely cause of rapid decline.

If possible, reduce overcrowding. Move any birds that are showing symptoms and make sure they are drinking the medicated water very well and eating.

Coccidiosis can have a wide variety of symptoms, so yes...it's possible for them to become immobilized.
