EMERGENCY my chick scalped herself

IMG_3313.JPG IMG_3312.JPG Here are some updated pictures. She looks really infected to me and I don't know if I'm doing enough. I'm cleaning it and applying neosporin twice a day.

How are you cleaning the wound?
Any odors?
If you feel like it's infected - flush it with saline or betadine - remove any pus/gunk from the wound by scrubbing it out with a rough wash cloth. Hopefully you will see some pink skin underneath. Then re-apply the Neosporin. If you have vet care that is always best.

Keep her warm and see that she is eating/drinking well.

If the wound continues to show signs of infection after you have cleaned it out well and having a vet see her is not possible, you may need to administer antibiotics.
