The same idea should work - remember much smaller throat, much shorter distance to the tummy.
Water to wash down food is always needed. Is the duckling choking on food? Are the pieces too big?
Holding the neck straight and helping the thing go down the throat is probably the first thing to try if the duckling cannot seem to move it herself.
