My otherwise healthy 2 month old chicken just had three successive red colored poops, can anyone please identify if this is normal intestinal shedding or something terrible like coccidiosis? She hasn't had anything unusual to eat, nothing at all this color

I do not believe they contained worms. Her later poops have been normal, but it remains a mystery where those 5 red poops came from.

those droppings could have been from another animal like a crow but if it happens again send another pic of it

I saw the feces coming out of my chicken, unfortunately. Now that they stopped, is it likely the problem went away?

maybe, if it happens again consult a vet

p.s what have you been feeding her

That looks like coccidiosis already pretty advanced so you need to treat it immediately with 20% Corid powder from the farm supply. Don't let them sell you anything else, just keep searching for it.

Add 1-1/2 teaspoons Corid to 1 gallon of water, and that should be the only source of water. Do that for 5 to 7 days, then do 1/3 teaspoon per gallon for a number of days, but I forgot how many.

Dip her beak in the water every hour or so to make her drink because they stop drinking.

CaSportPony can help you with a lot more in depth info.

But your bird could suddenly die like one of mine did last week, so time is of the essence. The pack of Corid should cost less than $20. Hurry.

Even when no other symptoms presented and the poop has now returned to normal?
