OK, so I get a call and this newspaper place wants to interview me on Raising Farm animals. LOL, they will take pics, video and write a story. What do you think I should DO???
Hello again friends! It's been almost 5 months since their huge ordeal, and I wanted to share a few things. The BOYS are the most amazing ducks that I've ever come in contact with. Their personalities are wonderfully unique! Genghis (the oldest) is our alpha drake and he knows it! Kublai is the absolute sweetest thing! Every time Ryan's son (who is 7 years old) comes over, the boys rush over to give him big hugs! They are, indeed, the most spoiled rotten little buggers but we both agree, the spoiled is just another word for "well taken care of". They have grown to an outstanding 11lbs (Kublai) and 13lbs (Genghis). And they are BEAUTIFUL! We are even considering entering them in the county fair next year!
They are redicously smart, and even though we won't be getting any fresh duck eggs from them, they keep our veggies well fertilized.
A big thank you to everyone who participated, watched, gave us advice when we had no idea what to do. This was, and still is, a huge learning experience for us.
And thank you so very much, Lacrystol, for being a wonderful doctor! Thank you for staying up with us those long nights and walking us through the process! Without you, we wouldn't have the joy (and amusement) that we have in our lives. We wouldn't have these amazing additions to the family. I don't even mind their messes! Heehee!
Much love,
The Keating family.
