EMERGENCY QUAIL

So I have two male quails as pets. I been having them for 5 months and they always been together. After a while I saw a hole in one of their necks. It looks like the skin was peeled off and there was a hole where I could see some organ. I separated them but what do I do now. It's been about a month and still no progress.

Idk.. but I’m keeping 2 males together as pets aswell. This happened. I thought he was gonna die, but within less than a week it was completely healed.
