Emergency "service"?

I'm confused as to why you can make it into town, but not to the hospital.

Lack of suitable vehicle was the explanation.
 
Yes, I'm in South Africa

Em: the hospital is 30 miles away, as I said in my first post. I walked to the ambulance base as we don't have a car any more and our truck is on it's last legs. No way it would've made the trip to the hospital.
 
Politics play a big roll in EMS. Take it from me. I was running over 300 calls a year an been part of the EMS system in the county for 13 years. Won fireman of they year an then was fired.
Hubby was an EMT and he certainly can relate to that! "Pick and choose" your victims are the usual protocol for that small town.

I don't understand why they fired you if you got the Fireman of the Year? If they didn't like you, why they are letting you volunteering your time assisting fighting fires and rescues?
