Emergency -- sick cat please help

The problem is is that hes feral and still won't let me get close. I need to check he hasn't run off--figurs it's the one day we have workers over working on our air conditioning :barnie

We have kept our distance although we did put out a little food and water. He walked over to the food but didnt eat.

I'm thinking I might be able to convince him to walk into a bigger animal carrier we have, but I dont know if I should try to catch him or not. I may also not be able to convince him...

Definitely don't approach the animal! It is mentioned that the cat acts sick and dazed. In the photos, the cat's jaw is dropped and he is drooling uncontrollably. Here is an image of a cat with rabies. <img src="http://www.moremonmouthmusings.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/rabidcat.jpg" alt="Image result for cat with rabies"/> The best option is to call animal control and they need to decide what to do about the situation.

He isnt drooling that bad as in the picture but it does look suspiciously like rabies. I am keeping my distance and hes scared of us anyways.
