Our Hen broke her toe a little bit a go, but we thought she may have just sprain her ankle at first. I didn't get a good look at it until today, and well her toe, the one on the back of her foot on the left foot, has completely broken off, but halfway. So the toe hangs a little, and its really decomposed to the point where it looks like a piece of charcoal. I have no idea how to treat this, she's in a lot of pain, and my flock isn't all too gentle on her either. My mother suggested to take it off, putting neosporin and wrapping it, but I don't think neosporin is a good idea. Any suggestions? Anything would be really helpful, thanks in advance!

If you decide to take her toe off go to your local feed store and get something besides neosporin. They should have some kind of wound spray or ointment meant for chickens. Also a round of antibiotics.
