Well maybe you could put her in the dog crate, put the crate in a bathroom,and tell the housesitter to put a bowl of feed and a bowl of water in with her every day (say if she runs out to refill) and tell the housesitter to watch her closely and regularly talk to her.

If she smells terrible it could be infectious coryza. Google it and look at the pictures. If not then she has some type of respiratory illness. She needs antibiotics.

Bad breath could be a sign of respiratory infection or sour crop. We can try to eliminate sour crop first. Does her crop feel big, hard, or squishy like a water balloon? Has she been eating and drinking normally? Has she pooped recently?
If it is a respiratory disease, you'll want to start treating immediately, but I'm not sure what medicine or dosage. Somebody will hopefully respond with knowledge on that.

Tulane can be used for respiratory. Tylan injectable can be given orally.

I would start her on antibotics by injection to get her started and see if that helps. Respiratory problems can severly affect the head area especially if her breath smells bad.
