I have been incubating my eggs, and I noticed one lost veins for two days with no pipping. Here is the picture, does anybody know what happened it has happened a few times. The mix was a Cornish Cross times a barred rock.

Do you think it was too big to hatch?

I'm pretty sure chicks can't be too large to hatch. They have to work with what's inside the egg. Maybe a little more or a little less water, but mostly, they're getting the same nutrition.

What's the diet of your breeder flock
Do you clean your eggs before hatching? If so, how?
How old are your eggs and how are they stored?
What is your humidity?
What is your temp?
What type of incubator are you using? Not what model: did you install a fan/is it forced air?
Have you calibrated your hydrometer/thermometer, and are you using only one?

@Pyxis?

Did you assist the hatch? Nothing looks ready to hatch...
No

How old are your eggs and how are they stored? One day when I put em in, I turn em three times a day.
What is your humidity? I spray a spray bottle twice a week.
What is your temp? 30 degrees Celsius

Have you calibrated your hydrometer/thermometer, and are you using only one? Don’t have one.

Invest a few dollars in a thermometer and calibrate it.
Same for a humidity gauge.
