Need emergency help!!!!! My broody died and I have a borrowed incubator. What temp should it be set at. She started sitting 3 weeks ago Friday. Some of the eggs were added 2-4 days later. Any suggestions?

Test temperature with another thermometer, as you don't know if that incubator has been calibrated.

I have a thermometer in there it is reading high right now it is a still air incubator and I added water in the bottom. Just trying to do all I can for these babies. My girls were devastated

Reading high... have you asked the owner of the incubator how to perform a calibration? Is it possible with the brand you're working with? If not, can you perhaps crack the lid open a hair at a time (sheets of paper come to mind), to bring it to the proper temperature?

Um, and you're taking temperature at or below the level of the eggs?

google search says "It is very easy to overheat the eggs in still-air incubators and difficult to maintain proper humidity. During the warm-up period, the temperature should be adjusted to hold a constant 101°F for still air, 99°- 100°F for forced air."

Now, since you're sure she was sitting for three weeks, those eggs should be very close to "lock down" (don't turn them). Did you candle them to determine if they're still viable after their momma died? Do you know how long they were without their mother's warmth?

She was sick acting this morning. And not sitting on them properly. I candles them about 2 hours ago and had confirmed movement. Just before I put them in I didn’t see movement but I’m still holding on for a miracle

Thank you!!!I am a nervous wreck. Should I put them in the holders or lay them down. I couldn’t help myself candled 2 this morning. And they are still moving was doing some research and it looks like I should probably lay them down
