I have a chicken that is 7 years old and my pet, she jumped down out of the nest and broke a leg....any suggestions?

It's in the joint so I can't splint it. I've been working the leg very gentle so it won't stiffen up on her.

It feels like it's in the knee. She's so pitiful

Thank You...I had one chicken that my neighbors dog got hold of (after it flew across the fence) and broke it's leg but she's getting around pretty good....I call her gimpy. But Blackie is old and not as strong. I would appreciate any suggestions that I can get to help her.
