Goodness I didn't know that. Might help to keep her in the dark more. Put curtains up on the windows of their house. Old towels what ever you have to use.
Sure. I will do that. Thank you for all the support. For now, I’m just letting her eat well, take good naps and play well. Even if she lays a soft egg I’m ignoring it.
I have been feeding Mazuri Waterfowl Maintenance to my flock for a number of years with good result in health and laying. They do mail order. I am rural Texas where there are people who raise a lot of exotics. I am hoping this is not culturally insensitive, but Mazuri makes Camel feed so they might have distribution in the middle east. Sorry if I disturbed your thread.
So, I figured out, that my duck is breathing loud. She makes a noise while breathing and still moves her body hard while breathing as thou she’s gonna lay her egg. She did not lay yesterday and laid a beautiful hard egg the day before.
Is she hot? Pekin right? they tend to get over heated easy. Great news about the hard egg. and they don't necessarily lay every day so maybe that isn't something to worry about. Look at her vent is it pulsating that can be a sign they are trying to lay.
