Empty nest box

So my coop has a double nest box on the end of it my two BR hens hop up in it kick all the shavings out of it and sleep up there and lay their eggs in a corner of the coop the farthest away from any access point to get them. How do I entice them to lay their eggs in the nest box? Or should I just not worry about it?

Try putting an egg or egg decoy or golf ball in the nest. Don't put too much fun bedding at first. You might also see if you can improve their roosting opportunities so they start sleeping on the roost and laying in the nest box.

Make sure the roost is higher than the nest-box, they tend to go for the highest spots to sleep.
